The Children’s Place is an educational child care center for Children Aged 2.9 to 5 Years of Age.

ELIGIBILITY

The program is open to all families from Canton and its surrounding towns. Employees of Enable, Inc. and siblings of children enrolled in other Cole-Harrington programs are given priority.

The program offers scholarships for families with incomes below 85% of the state median income.

Funding is available through state contracts with the Department of Early Education and Care to support the inclusion of children from low-income families and children at-risk for abuse and neglect.

STAFF INFORMATION

The program employs two teachers with a BS degree and one teacher with a MEd degree in Early Childhood Education and one assistant who holds EEC lead teacher certification. The program also includes a social worker to support staff efforts to meet the mental health and social service needs of children and families. A child psychologist consults two hours a month and a social worker consults weekly.
