The Preschool Enrichment Center is an educational child care center for Children Aged 2.9 to 5 Years of Age.
ELIGIBILITY
The program is open to all families from Canton and its surrounding towns. Employees of Enable, Inc. and siblings of children enrolled in other Cole-Harrington programs are given priority.
The program offers scholarships for families with incomes below 85% of the state median income.
Funding is available through state contracts with the Department of Early Education and Care to support the inclusion of children from low-income families and children at-risk for abuse and neglect.
STAFF INFORMATION
The program director has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education/special needs and has over thirty-five years experience as a teacher and administrator. Her commitment to developmentally appropriate early childhood practice and on going staff training to support the full inclusion of children with special education needs is well known and respected in the Canton community. The program employs two full time assistant directors, six bachelor level early childhood educators, and four assistant teachers with EEC teacher certification. The program maintains a 1 to 7 ratio. The program also includes a social worker to support staff efforts to meet the mental health and social service needs of children and families.
